Our Hotel

Point Pleasant Lodge is the culmination of our Founder’s Vision to provide a first rate hotel and food and beverage experience in Halifax for those undertaking health related travel.

Since opening in 1975 as a locally owned and operated not-for-profit company we have been privileged to extend our heart for hospitality to an exclusive and diverse guest profile.

The recent reimagining of our company has resulted in a comprehensive property wide renovation and broadening of our Mission to now welcome all travellers choosing to call us home when visiting Halifax.

Socially conscious travellers who choose to stay with us not only get to take advantage of our great rates, friendly hospitality, and upgraded amenities, but simultaneously invest in the continued success of our Mission.

Very nice place! Very clean and modern rooms. Only complaint was no in room coffee machine and had to wait till cafe to open, would definitely go back. 🙂 🙂

I was pleasantly surprised by the renovations to the place. Before I stayed here many times with my husband and it was just a place to lay your head but most time it was paid insurance or by the hospital itself .I have a couple of suggestions one being the beautiful restaurant which the prices are above and beyond. I do realize a lot of patients have food vouchers but then many don't. It cost me 51 dollars witt a tip and I know I didn't even know what I ordered. This was supper.l didn't even recognize the limit menu of food to get in the restaurant but in saying that it ambience was lovely but hopefully the people who make these decisions will come to realize something more affordable and better choices. The staff working in the lodge have wonderful personalities. Then the room I almost cried at beautiful decor. Thinking of the patients returning from treatment etc.and getting in this beautiful comfy bed and spotless room.it just spells dignify and respects for us less fortunate. One more complaint, I had to stay Friday night into Saturday so I called from my room to see when breakfast was opened which I was told it wasn't open on weekends as many go home I get that so I asked if they had tea or coffee available and that was a no .really this would be great to offer in the morning especially when restaurant is closed. Most people need there need tea or coffee first thing in the morning. I'm by no means blaming anyone for this oversight that could be quickly changed. But once again the place is so beautiful the staff.inviting. Kudos to work staff. who made this happen
